Is she doing ok, I hope? I had an aneurysm scare 4 years ago. I was having headaches for a few days, and vomited just once. I went to my doctor when it lasted 6 days (with the idea in the back of my mind that I had an aneurysm). I had an MRI the next day. No aneurysm, but I did have a HUGE subdural hematoma. I had emergency surgery that day, had a seizure 5 days after surgery, but only had to be on Dilantin for a year, and recovered fine. This all happened a month after my surgery to create my dialysis fistula. I never knew what caused it, but suspect it was when I bumped my head getting into my car, and being that people with kidney failure don't have properly functioning platelets, the combo is probably what caused the hematoma.

The neurosurgeon was shocked at how significant it was, yet I didn't have significant symptoms.

Feel free to email; I'll send you an email so you have my address.

I can' thank you enough for your blog. I am currently writing a book about a young girl, age 19 who suffered a brain aneurysm and has PKD. While I have gathered a great deal of information from the PKD foundation. Your blog puts reality into the everyday life of a PKD patient. Thank you for sharing and I'm sure Iwill have more questions for you as I move along in my book. If you have time, you can view her story at www.ashleybaltazar.com.
